Petalmoss
Fairies wear hats for camouflage and fashion similarly to humans. Even though Small Thicket is a well established village, meaning little disturbance from humans, there still arises an occasional need for the villagers to hide. Perhaps they are journeying into unknown territory or going into a densely populated human place.
Many of the fairies make their own headdresses with simple flowers or mushroom caps. Depending on the occasion simplicity doesn't cut it and a specialist is needed. The village milliner is Petalmoss, a fluffy haired and glasses wearing fairy. Using bits and bobs collected from humans and combined with plants and flowers, they make elaborate hats fit for any occasion.
It is not just the fairies who stay fancy but the insects of the village have begun to adopt the same fanciful heart so the milliner began making hats for all head sizes.
